Documents required when picking up the vehicle

In order to establish the rental contract at the time of vehicle handover, the customer must present the following original documents:

• Driving license
  The driving license must be valid and held for at least 2 years.
• Passport
  
• Security deposit
  A security deposit is required by the partner rental agency. It may take the form of:
  • a credit card pre-authorization (depending on POS terminal availability), or
  • a cash deposit (in € or DZD or any other currency).
    This deposit is refunded upon vehicle return, subject to compliance with the contractual conditions.

Use of the vehicle

The vehicle is rented for a specified period, clearly stated in the rental contract signed with the agency.

The following rules apply:

• Any delay exceeding 3 hours compared to the scheduled return time may result in the billing of an additional rental day.
• The vehicle must be used exclusively within Algerian territory, unless prior written authorization is obtained from the rental agency.
• The renter is fully responsible for any traffic violations committed during the rental period (e.g. speeding, illegal parking, fines, speed cameras, etc.).
• It is strictly prohibited to:
  • sub-rent the vehicle,
  • use the vehicle for paid passenger transport,
    except under a specific professional contract that has been expressly authorized.

Insurance and deductibles

The rates offered by partner agencies include free delivery to the Airport or within Algiers and its surroundings, and insurance depending on the case:

• third-party liability insurance;
• damage insurance, with application of a deductible;
• full comprehensive insurance.

In case of accident or incident

• Any accident must be reported to the rental agency within a maximum of 24 hours.
• In case of vehicle theft, the customer must imperatively return:
  • the vehicle keys,
  • the vehicle documents.
• The deductible remains the customer’s responsibility in the event of:
  • an at-fault accident,
  • or an accident with no identified third party.

The exact coverage conditions and the deductible amount are specified in the contract established by the rental agency.

Booking and payment

• Vehicle booking is made via AlgerLocation.com, which facilitates contact with partner rental agencies.
• Rental payment is not collected by AlgerLocation.com.
• Payment for the rental is made directly to the partner rental agency.
• The prices displayed on AlgerLocation.com are the prices applied with no hidden fees.

Responsibilities

AlgerLocation.com acts solely as a booking platform and cannot be held responsible for:

• the actual availability of the vehicle at the time of booking on the website; availability is subsequently confirmed by the rental agency, which will contact you via WhatsApp;
• the condition of the vehicle at the time of handover; you must request real photos if necessary;
• the execution or quality of the service provided by the partner agency;
• any disputes, damage or incidents occurring during the rental period; only the concerned rental agency is responsible.

Any claim relating to the vehicle or the rental must be addressed directly to the concerned rental agency.

Update of conditions

These conditions may be modified at any time to reflect the practices of partner agencies and regulatory developments.
